Outstanding! one night is not enough!

I am a frequent visitor to amsterdam and usually stay at the marriott. however after quite a wearing 4 days at the north sea jazz festival, myself and my friend were in need of luxury, peace & pampering. this hotel more than delivered. the service was impeccable. the decor warm, elegant & stylist with attention paid to every little detail. the fresh flower displays of orchids throughout the hotel are to die for and even the metal on the elevator is decorated with a sutle, tiny flowered patterns. i had booked a standard room but had a very generous upgrade so that we could also enjoy the spa & executive lounge. it was worth every penny and i would have happily paid more! added to all of the luxury surroundings, the service is impeccable. there is nothing i can fault and i will definitely be back for a longer stay as we really did not want to leave. one night was not enough! a big thankyou to all of the staff who made our stay so delightful. this hotel deserves more than 5 stars!

Quiet luxury

The hotel okura amsterdam is a very acceptable five star hotel located a 15-minute tram ride from the centre of amsterdam in a quiet neighbourhood. it offers excellent dining both western and japanese style. it is convenient to the airport and the south railway station. staff are helpful and pleasant. standard rooms are a little on the small side, but very comfortable.

Okura amsterdam - a memorable stay

The hotel okura amsterdam is one of the best hotels i have ever syared in anywhere in the world and the price was most reasonable. the whole ambience of the hotel and all its services were excellent.

Wonderful okura

We stayed for 3 nights in the 5 star hotel okura.

upon arrival (8.30am) we were told that we had to leave an imprint of a credit card incase we used any services (mini-bar etc) this was a bit daunting as we had bad experiences in the past, however, we went along with it.

the wery polite staff kindly upgraded us to a junior suite at no additional charge and advised us that our room was ready imediatly.

the room was wonderful, immaculately spottless, beautiful views accross the city.

breakfast was amazing, fruit, bread, bacon, eggs, sausage, cereal, yoghurt and champagne!!

everything about the hotel was perfect, tram stop was a 4 minute walk away.

we will be going back to the okura, hopefuly sooner rather than later.

only warning i will give you is that the pool/sauna/gym is 40euros per day and the cocktail bar on the 23rd floor is very expensive.

Romantic break

Hotel lovely and staff very helpful we stayed in a deluxe room that had fab plasma tv in bathroom great for a touch of pampering. they serve champagne with breakfast and for the ultimate luxery you can hire a private boat from directly outside the hotel. though the hotel is not centrally located in amsterdam the trams are really good and you can reach most places within 5 mins with the bonus of it not being full of hen and stag partys.
