Giglio dell opera

Easy to access hotel, exteior is a little dingy but inside is clean and comfortable, our bathroom drains had a damp problem which lent itself to te occasional dap smell, helpful desk staff, near by laundry mat, breakfeast is a little ordainary but sufficent - could do with fresh coffee instad of a machine.

Very good location.

The most important is the location. it is very near to republic and termini metro as well as the termini railwau station. termini metro and train station will be near about 100 metre and the hotel is surrounded by lots of resturants and it is a bit crowdy place so we can move into the roads even after 10pm. good breakfast and ok stuffs.

Short stay in rome

Location of hotel ideal, 5 minutes max walk to termini station. ideal for train to and from airport. 10-15 minute walk to colleseum. plenty of restaurants round about, with one very good one just along the street called este este este.

i was part of a party of 14 and there was no complaints about the cleanliness of the rooms, some were in better decor than others but as not spending a lot of time in hotel it was not a problem for us.

staff were a bit dour, but again helpful enough. it was good value for the cost as rome is getting expensive.

Rugby weekend

The hotel staff were helpful, if a little frosty to start with. our room was very nicely furnished, comfortable bed but obviously in the process of being refurbished as small details of the decoration were incomplete - no shower holder, grouting not complete and the builders above started at 08:15 knocking down walls!! the hotel ran out of beer the first night but they only had 6 bottles in the first place! helpful in recommending local restaurants and happy to make reservations for our group of 14!
the walk back from the city centre is mostly up hill, quite a gentle incline, but there are taxi's at every main tourist attraction, so its not really an issue. we would recommend bar washington at the end of the road, for friendly helpful staff and efficient, attentive service.
overall good service and good value for money.
