The Hotel's 21st century facelift from Oscar-nominated director and artist Julian Schnabel focused on a distinct Renaissance- revival concept incorporating the vivid colors of the era with bold hues on the walls, upholstery and carpets. The furniture was specially imported from markets around the world. The result is an ambiance that is regal, relaxed and ultimately, transporting.
Madly eclectic and entirely unpredictable NYC accommodations The bold, individualistic spirit of the public spaces at the Gramercy Park Hotel is carried on into the 185 guestrooms and luxury suites here in Manhattan. Each NYC accommodation is generously scaled and beautifully appointed. Each is different with its own unique layout, vivid Renaissance color palette inspired by Raphael and distinctive collection of art and objects. Imported hand tufted rugs with deep rose velvet drapery on custom bronze rods create a beautiful palette with the mahogany window enclosures and wooden blinds. Curated photographs and unique pieces of furniture inspired by a myriad of cultures and styles are juxtaposed with original creations by Julian Schnabel and Maarten Baas throughout all of our Manhattan hotel rooms.
