Wonderful stay in valencia :)

Before arriving i had very little expectations of the vincci lys, mainly because of the price and the fact that it was so central - i genuinely didn't expect it to be very good.
arriving to valencia it was very easy to get to the closest metro station (xativa) and then fairly easy to find the hotel - i would definitely recommend taking a map.
we had a little wait to get in to the room after we arrived, but were offered refreshments and use of the wifi whilst relaxing of the comfy chairs in the lobby. we were also offered an option to take a front or rear facing room and a choice of floors, we went for a non-smoking room on the 3rd floor. upon getting to the room i was shocked at how large it was - we had a small cloakroom, large bathroom and the room was big enough for a least another double bed! we had large windows opening above the street which were lovely with the only negative being that we were overlooked by an apartment/office, but this is the price you pay for such a central location and to be honest you hardly notice (although we may have accidentally perked up somebody's working week!).
outside of this valencia is a fantastic city and the front of house staff were simply excellent. the young man who works during the evenings was exceptional at giving directions and offering suggestions on where to eat, we opted for his recommendation on tapas (orio) and a traditional paella restaurant, both of which blew us away! the breakfast is very good value too.
superb stay and wonderful hotel :)

Lovely hotel in centre

The hotel is very well situated 100m from the xativa metro and the bullring and 5-10 minute walk to the main square, plaza de virgen. the staff were all incredibly friendly and everything was great. i could not fault anything we had a great deal including breakfast
