The Catalonia Ramblas Hotel Barcelona is set in one of the buildings that were home to the offices of the newspaper 'La Vanguardia'. The building is designed by Josep Majó Ribas and built specifically as the Barcelona newspaper’s offices and headquarters. Opened in 1903, it is the only modernist-style building in the street. It stands out particularly thanks to its elegant decoration, the large size of its common areas and its pleasant hall bar, a warm and welcoming place for enjoying snacks and all kinds of drinks. The front of the building has been completely refurbished and is particularly beautiful, with a pretty and original craftwork with plant motifs.
The Hotel Catalonia Ramblas Barcelona is located in the city centre. The hotel is in a privileged location in the heart of the cultural and commercial area. Staying in this hotel is perfect for visiting the Gothic Quarter, following the Gaudí Modernist route, strolling down the Ramblas or going shopping in the Paseo de Gracia. Furthermore, a wide variety of bars and restaurants are easily reached on foot from the hotel, where you can enjoy delicious tapas, pinchos, as well as a the typical Sangria. Several bus and metro stations allow for quick and easy access to the rest of Barcelona.
