The lobby is small, but bright and welcoming with full length windows giving it a bright, airy feel.

Exterior

This is a not unattractive building.

Rooms

The medium sized rooms are beautifully finished with unusual dark wood furniture and imaginative colourschemes of pale beige mixed with vibrant warm oranges and reds. Being newly built, the rooms and the smart modern bathrooms are in exceptional condition.

Restaurant

The hotel's breakfast room is located on the ground floor off the lobby. One wall features a beautiful freize by a local artist reflecting the voyages of Columbus in its theme.

Location

This hotel enjoys a wonderfully practical location on the edge of Kasimierz, the famous Jewish Quarter of Krakow, and area immersed in history, yet full of Bohemian life today. The castle and Market Square are a pleasant 10-20mins walk away.

You can not go past this hotel if you are staying in krakow. the staff are very friendly and helpful. the rooms are spotless and quite large. the location is excellent as it is a 10 minute walk from the centre of town. it is located right in the heart of the jewish quarter and the restaurants are surpurb. one small complaint (and it is small) try to book a room at the back of the hotel as the trams first thing in the morning are quite noisy. but please don't let that put you off staying in this most excellent of hotels.

Great little hotel

Graet boutique hotel in good location, better service than some 5 star hotels. rooms at front of hotel may be affected by noise. mini bar prices are shockingly affordable!

5 star recommendation !!! for a 3 star hotel

I stayed at the columbus from 21 feb 09 until 24 feb 09, along with my partner and two friends. the hotel is a great venue and the location is excellent. the staff were extremely helpful and advised us on the best ways of booking trips. breakfast was very good too. the rooms were large, warm, comfortable and very clean. there is so much to see in krakow that 4 days were too short - should i return, i would re-book this hotel. special thanks goes to walter, porter at the hotel, who made us all feel very welcome - {just don,t call him 'wally' :-) } thanks to all at the columbus - kerin richardson

Krakow

Hotel columbus was perfect for our group of 4 friends. location was excellent, with plenty of restaurants just a 2 minute walk away. rooms lovely, very clean and bathrooms excellent with very nice goodies. reception friendly and helpful and free internet access. breakfast buffet had a good choice, with freshly cooked eggs on order.
overall - a perfect choice.
