Great hotel

This hotel is such a bargain. we didn't take advantage of the afternoon pancakes but the breakfast choice is good and the evening buffet more than adequate if you have a decent lunch. could probably get by with hotel food if you didn't have a hungry son to feed! also hot drinks and fruit available all day. oslo is incredibly expensive so this saves you a lot of money. very friendly and helpful staff. only downside is area. we arrived very late on our first night and there was obviously shady goings-on (hence three stars for location) although no one bothered us and it is fine during the day. nice and central. close to bus and rail stations. we could see the opera house from our window. road in front of hotel currently being dug up but only a minor inconvenience.
