Great price with wonderful views from room and a great roof top pool with 360° view over venice

We stayed 5 nights here at the hilton molino stucky the view from the pool is great, room we stayed in was 7 floor looking towards santa maria della salute church also we enjoyed views in mornings of cruise ships passing by.
the room we stayed, was a twin plenty of room great high ceilings light and airy.
downside i would say is the kaldewei range small bath with no shower screen/curtain.
the room has no ironing board/iron but found a small room that had them near to ice machine this was a bit of a walk from our room on 3rd floor we may have a closer one but don't mind the walk. first few days we had room service for bucket of ice.
breakfast was great but can be busy due to business men/women and cruise pre/post passengers.
english is widely spoken but couple of staff during breakfast we found there english was very limited to tea/coffee orange juice.
hotel has complimentary shuttle boat service from/to st. mark's square (san zaccaria not all boats go here) and from/to "zattere" (all boats hotel boat stops at zattere). these are run by alilaguna with hilton on them.
other transport are alilaguna boat services also stops at molino stucky which we found to be very useful with heavy luggage coming from/to airport, tickets can be bought at the ticket venders or pay additional €1 for paying on boat. single to airport €15 which includes 1 luggage. these are more costly but you do get a seat on them.
public transport using actv boats stops about 10 mins walk from hotel but don't forget you have to cross small bridges to get to the hotel. also we found these service very crowded (like a peak hour on the piccadilly northern lines on the london underground).
over all we found this hotel great, we would recommend it if package and the price is right. i was very lucky to find a great price using hotelsclick. saved over £400 to compare with other website and we had breakfast included. we visited during venice film festival.
we had great weather so during bad weather there maybe issues with transport as the boats are small.
the only people i wouldn't recommend to stay here is the same as not to visit venice as elderly with walking issues and young families with push chairs. venice is full of small bridges all of which has steps most are between 2 or 3 flights of stairs high and they could as little as 5-10 meters between bridges.
