The hotel was built by the Swiss painter Edwin Hunziker which has restored and expanded an ancient manor house, lying in the middle of olive trees, citrus trees and almond trees. Over time, the family has been upgrading and expanding the structure that retains all the original features of the Aeolian architecture, with large covered terraces, stone stairs, and white walls. The Painter's nephews continue the tradition of family hospitality.
Just 400 meters from Corso Vittorio Emanuele, Villa Diana enjoys views of the town of Lipari and in front of its Castle with Cathedral and Archaeological Museum and the Tyrrhenian Sea. The panoramic view comes to see the Sicilian coast of Milazzo, the starting point for ships and hydrofoils that reach the port of Lipari.
