The original house was built in the early seventeenth century by a member of the Talbot family of Malahide Castle. The hotel is situated just outside the village of Maynooth only 20 minutes from Dublin and offers 165 luxury bedrooms between the old house and the new extension. The complex incorporates the original house, where a number of banqueting rooms and the hotel bar are located, as well as 14 bedrooms and suites. Guests can enjoy fine dining in the Linden tree restaurant and more casual dining options in the Kitchen Bar. The Golf clubhouse also offers dining and bar options. Additional facilities at the new hotel include a conference and events centre with a number of meeting rooms the largest of which has a capacity of 500 theatre style.
