The three-star Hotel Merkur overlooks a sunny park in Prague 1, near the Florenc metro station, just a short stroll away from the ancient Prague. From the Václav Havel International Airport it takes about 40 minutes by metro to reach the hotel. The Hotel Merkur is a classy building, very well kept and clean, managed professionally by experienced staff offering great value for money. The hotel’s interiors are spacious and clear, featuring modern furniture; a lift serves the five floors of the building. All the rooms are en-suite and have TV, hairdryer, safe box and minibar. The free buffet breakfast is rich, based on local produce, as well as the dishes offered by the menu of Café Merkur, the hotel’s restaurant. Wi-Fi Internet connection is available at the restaurant and in the common spaces of the hotel. The Hotel Merkur is well linked by public transports; the Florenc metro station and the main bus station are in the Republic Square that is just a short walk away. From there it is possible to move easily to any other part of Prague. Within 10 minutes by walk from the hotel the ancient Prague starts, here, amid the old and the new town, there are two popular shopping malls: the Palladium and the Kotva. The historic centre of Prague is just a further 5 minutes of walk, where all the most famous attractions of the city are concentrated.
