Exterior
Loews Philadelphia Hotel, a national historic landmark, has an exterior that was modeled as a modern International Style Skyscraper, built in 1932. The building has a base covered with gray granite, and the base forms a podium from which a 30 story T-shaped tower rises. The rear of the building serves acts as the service core and is covered with glazed and unglazed black brick. The windows form horizontal strips along with vertical columns.
