A good value family run hotel in an excellent location. The owners of the property are very knowledgeable about the area, particularly Andrew. So if you are interested in seeing some of the more eye catching sites in the area be sure to ask his advice he'll be only too pleased to help. Probably the easiest Hotel to find in Windermere. Number One High Street. The Town of Windermere is set on a hillside and the Lakes Lodge Windermere is at the uppermost point of the main street. The Hotels is literally 50 metres from Windermere rail station and the main A591.
The lobby is small and to the left of the entrance to the Hotel. It can often be quite busy as the hotel operates tours of the Lake District by bus which are very popular.
This is a traditional Cumbrian slate built property.
All rooms are medium sized and although basic are clean and well presented.
There is no restaurant as such although the hotel has a breakfast room which is traditionally furnished.
The Hotel Lakes Lodge Windermere offers the use of a TV in the rooms.
