4 day break

The hotel could do with a facelift but was clean and comfortable. the tv did not work but the shower facilities were ok. the staff were helpful but not that friendly.
i will definitely stay there again when i next time i go to london.
not recommended for a romantic break but ok for a tourist break.

An-nur hotel, bayswater section of london

Staff very helpful and really went out of their way. location superb one block from hyde park. you can feel safe in this neighborhood (my third stay in bayswater). i would go to the an-nur again if they can replace the terribly stained carpeting throughout, replace the double bed which is sagging to one side and is very very uncomfortable(triple room's double bed had this problem although the other guests in our party had comfortable beds. relatively inexpensive fixes would really improve the place. paint the entire interior, replace all carpeting, get a hotel-sized carafe to store the coffee in so it stays hot and fresh.

Hotel an-nur

The hotel was basic, room and en-suite very small but adequate for one night stay - any longer and it would have been opressive. bed reasonably comfortable but only one pillow each, and as it was a double and up against the wall, difficult to get in and out of for person next to wall. en-suite also cramped but shower very good. breakfast was very basic - white & brown bread, 3 cereals, orange juice, coffe, tea, jam & marmalade. fresh fruit or yoghurts as options would heve been nice & full english at extra charge not available.

Great location but tiny bedroom

Excellent location and friendly staff. looks very nice from the outside. was disappointed with size of bedroom.it was really a single room but it had an extra single bed placed in there just to fulfill the description twin room.
luckily i was on my own; can't imagine what it would be like with a second person sharing such a tight space; it was a squeeze just to find place for my one medium-sized suitcase.
no tea/coffee making facilities in the bedrooms but they are available in the breakfast room which is at you disposal at any time.
the continental breakfast is also a bit disappointing consisting of just 2 cereals, white sliced bread/rolls, jam/marmalade, tea/coffee and orange juice and with the option of making your own toast (toaster provided). every aspect of the breakfast is self-service.
this was my second time to stay here; had a slightly larger room back in july.
returning to london in march. might search for somewhere more comfortable.

Look elsewhere!!

Receptionist affable and efficient. my son and i then took alarmingly shaky old lift to sixth floor to be greeted by juddering halt and step up to floor level. set foot on disgustingly stained carpet.
room (twin) small and devoid of furniture except beds and wardrobe.
bathroom very small, door would not close if toilet seat down! bath needed replacing or at the very lease a major cleaning and restoration project!!
continental breakfast consisted of choice of two cereals or stale rolls, bread (stale) available to tost in old and dirty toaster. no jams etc just big bowl of marmalade. "orange juice" heavily adulterated with orange squash. no sign of fruit or yoghurts etc..
perhaps this was once a reasonalble hotel but it must have been a very long time ago.
definitely not on my list of places to return to!!!

Great location

Had a great stay in london. the hotel is ideally within a five minute walk of to tube stations and two minutes walk from a bus stop.

the price is very competative, however the rooms are very small and the carpets needs replacing or at least cleaning. the beds were changed everyday however the first room were stayed, the walls were plain white and so were the bed sheets which gave the room a very clinical feel, definatelty not vey romantic.

however the second one we stayed in had a couple of pictures on the wall, a bath, and coloured bed sheets and my girlfirend was a lot more impressed.

basically if you do stay here ask for a room with a bath and you should be fine.

staff were friendy too and the bottom line is for £57 a night in zone one central london what may could you ask.

Okay but small and v v v basic

Hotel itself looked fab from the outside and reception looked great but when we got into the lifts to the floor it was a different story carpets were old and dingy lift was terrible the stairs were raw concrete the rooms were tiny just two beds which were tiny and had old blankets on it , tv didnnt work socket was inapporpriatly located couldnt be used. shower was a hose on the wall. on the plus side it was extremely clean and tidy and sheets and towels changed everyday and staff really friendly.
