4 day break

The hotel could do with a facelift but was clean and comfortable. the tv did not work but the shower facilities were ok. the staff were helpful but not that friendly. i will definitely stay there again when i next time i go to london. not recommended for a romantic break but ok for a tourist break.

Hotel an-nur

The hotel was basic, room and en-suite very small but adequate for one night stay - any longer and it would have been opressive. bed reasonably comfortable but only one pillow each, and as it was a double and up against the wall, difficult to get in and out of for person next to wall. en-suite also cramped but shower very good. breakfast was very basic - white & brown bread, 3 cereals, orange juice, coffe, tea, jam & marmalade. fresh fruit or yoghurts as options would heve been nice & full english at extra charge not available.

Look elsewhere!!

Receptionist affable and efficient. my son and i then took alarmingly shaky old lift to sixth floor to be greeted by juddering halt and step up to floor level. set foot on disgustingly stained carpet. room (twin) small and devoid of furniture except beds and wardrobe. bathroom very small, door would not close if toilet seat down! bath needed replacing or at the very lease a major cleaning and restoration project!! continental breakfast consisted of choice of two cereals or stale rolls, bread (stale) available to tost in old and dirty toaster. no jams etc just big bowl of marmalade. "orange juice" heavily adulterated with orange squash. no sign of fruit or yoghurts etc.. perhaps this was once a reasonalble hotel but it must have been a very long time ago. definitely not on my list of places to return to!!!

Great location

Had a great stay in london. the hotel is ideally within a five minute walk of to tube stations and two minutes walk from a bus stop. the price is very competative, however the rooms are very small and the carpets needs replacing or at least cleaning. the beds were changed everyday however the first room were stayed, the walls were plain white and so were the bed sheets which gave the room a very clinical feel, definatelty not vey romantic. however the second one we stayed in had a couple of pictures on the wall, a bath, and coloured bed sheets and my girlfirend was a lot more impressed. basically if you do stay here ask for a room with a bath and you should be fine. staff were friendy too and the bottom line is for £57 a night in zone one central london what may could you ask.
