A relaxing, peaceful.... hotel with high standards

From arriving, the reception were courteous and cheerful.

on entering the bedroom(s), i found them spacious, organised, and peaceful (and everything worked!).

at breakfast time, the food selection was delightful.... and beautifully cooked. very attentive, polite staff.

a sound, undisturbed sleep.

the visit was to meet an old pal i have known for 40+ years (meet annually - nationwide).... and believe me, we have experienced some distasteful establishments!

so... well done! stonecross manor.

A pleasant weekend

This is the 4th time we have stayed at the stonecross manor and once again we enjoyed our stay. the food is very good but a little expensive and as its only a 20 min walk into kendal is ideally placed. a nice swimming pool and jacuzzi is just the ticket to wind down before enjoying a pint in the bar.

Stopover visit

A one night stopover on the way to scotland.
hotel fine, room not too large but more than adequate, breakfast very good - self service mainly and had a dip in the pool beforehand that is an excellent way to start the day.
hotel is about a 20 minute walk or 5 minute taxi to the town centre.
excellent base to tour from as on leaving went to windermere lakeland shop then round ullswater to m6

Overnight stay

Spent one night in the hotel and very good it was. the only thing we did not like was black damp patch by the window in the bedroom. staff very good.
checking out had to remind them that we had not been charged for dinner the night before.
