The Argyll Hotel is ideally located for business travelers or tourists exploring the city. Downtown and the neighborhood of West End and the Byres Road are easily accessible. We have a bar and bistro, the Sutherlands, a lift to all floors, a small car park at the rear and on street parking. The center of the Scottish Exhibition and Conference (SECC), Glasgow University and Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum are all within walking distance of the Argyll Hotel.
This hotel is ideally located only half a mile west of the city centre, with only a few minutes walk of the Scottish Exhibition & Conference centre. The hotel is also well positioned for events at the Kelvin Hall International Sports Arean.

A welcoming middle sized lobby where the reception staff are happy to help with any assistance in arranging tours or information to make your stay in Glasgow more enjoyable.

This Georgian built hotel has an impressive structure and is in excellent condition.

All 38 bedrooms are of a high standard each offering it's own charm and individuality. All have en-suite facilities with Colour TV, direct dial phone, Hairdryer, Tea & Coffee making facilities, and Digital Clock Radio. Room Service is also available and Baby-sitting service for guests to book in advance.

Restaurant

Located on the garden level, the restaurant captures a bygone era, steeped in Sottish History. An open fire, subtle lighting and warm hospitality all add to the ambience of this exceptional restaurant bar. A traditional Scottish menu is served along with European dishes and regullary have Special Steak Nights.

Secc night

A decent hotel with an excellent breakfast all supplied at a very reasonable price. good location for the secc & with plenty on street parking closeby which was free at the weekend

Argyll hotel

Good value for money

The hotel is located on sauchiehall street, adjacent to argyll street which is in transition from a scruffy area to one on the up with new restaurants (korean, thai as well as italian) check in jowl with old style glasgow pubs.

i have stayed at the hotel 3 times during the past 15 years, the last time in april 2007. the rooms have been refurbished as has the sutherland restaurant where breakfast is taken.

i found the staff friendly and attentive, particularly the breakfast staff. it provides free wifi access.

if you want a reasonably priced stay in glasgow about a mile from the centre, this hotel is worth considering. i used it as a stopover for a trip higher up into the highlands - as it is on the other side of glasgow it is idea for this purpose.

Great location in glasgow

Excellent small hotel, conveniently situated for sec, museums, restaurants and city centre. rooms comfortable and well appointed if not large. breakfast was excellent (have had less choice in a more "stared" establishment) with very helpful and friendly service. will definitely use this hotel again when in the area.
