Exterior
The property was once a county prison and has been converted into a hotel, with old cells still on display in the museum in the cellar. The exterior is traditional in style and looks more like an old country home.
Rooms
The former cells were carefully restored and now exist as 68 tasteful and comfortable rooms. These rooms stiil retain the charm of the buildings unique history. Many have lofty ceilings and beautiful beams, which creates a warm atmosphere.
Restaurant
At Home Hotel Bilan, enjoy a satisfying meal at the restaurant. Wrap up your day with a drink at the bar/lounge. A complimentary buffet breakfast is served on weekdays from 7:00 AM to 9:30 AM and on weekends from 7:30 AM to 10:30 AM.
Location
The contemporary Varmlands Museum is 300 metres from the hotel. The Froeding Museum celebrating the famous Swedish poet 8 km to the east. Sunne Ski Centre, the historic home of Marbacka Minnesgard and Rottneros Park with its gardens are all 60 km to the north.
