Lobby

The lobby is very elegantly designed with a wide staircase at its centre flanked by two Roman pillars. There is an antique table as you enter with fresh flowers on display and the dark wood reception desk to your left. The reception desk is open 24 hours and there is also WiFi in the public areas.

Exterior

Part of the hotel building dates back to the 1880's and the building is square shaped creating a lovely courtyard which hosts the outdoor swimming pool. The building is just two storeys tall and has open air walkways linking the rooms.

Rooms

Traditional in design, no two rooms are the same at the Protea Hotel by Marriott Franschhoek. All 30 rooms are en suite and tastefully decorated with carpeted floors, light coloured bed spreads and curtains and have framed art work on display. The beds are a good size and there is a writing desk and chair for guests as well as a mini bar, satellite TV and air conditioning.There is room service available from 07:00 - 21:30 daily.

The cosy restaurant offers an elegant dining atmosphere and a superb blend of classical and contemporary cuisine. The pool area and terrace can also be used for lunches and receptions
