Hotel Y Boulevard

2 Stars

  Prins Hendrikkade, 144 - 145 - 1011 - Amsterdam, Netherlands View Map
Area: Oude Zijde

This is a wonderful, small hotel worthy of a higher classification and suitable for all fit business, as well as for small groups. It is even rumored that Rembrandt taught students how to paint in one of the bedrooms. Without lift. Recommended only to little demanding visitors
This hotel is centrally located along a tree lined boulevard, close to the Central Station enjoying views of the water. It is a short walk to all the major tourist attractions including the Red Light District.

Hotel Details

Lobby

The lobby is small but very attractive and has been recently renovated and incorporates a small bar area. There is a very modern glass reception desk and the furniture is traditionally wooden with blue and yellow decor giving it a very bright and airy feel and of a superior standard to what one would expect from this category of hotel.

Exterior

4 storey-hotel; the exterior is traditional as this was formerly a traditional Dutch monastry.

Rooms

The 35 bedrooms are all quite basic and vary in size due to the age of the building but all are kept in fair condition.

Restaurant

This hotel only provides breakfast room but this room is also exceptional as it has original artwork from the 18th century and is also decorated in a blue and yellow colour scheme.
