This genuine Riad has harmonic proportions and neoclassical mauresque architecture mixed with modern restoration updates from Barcelona based architect: Claudia Raurell. The arcaded cursives from the 19th century and the sublime “waha o gayza” ceilings are outstanding. The traditional aesthetic is complemented by design pieces such as the Italian 60s classic Pipistrello on the rooftop, Marset’s Aura glass lamps in the rooms, a marble applique from Mallorca’s Contain Estudio at reception and Egon Eierman’s renown foldable chairs which are the protagonist of all Brummell Projects breakfast rooms. On-site made terrazzo stone floors join smoothly together with the famous Moroccan artisan traditional tadelakt material. The annexed sister property, the “Annex House”, is a beautiful addition to the main Riad. This fantasy house is newly renovated by Moroccan multi-artist Rachid Bargamane: 4 bedrooms, 2 kitchens, a high terrace with beautiful views, and a plunge pool to be rented entirely.
