The spacious private cottages at Kataaki no Sato feature gorgeous woodwork and include a kitchen with dining area, a private open-air bath, and free Wi-Fi. Snorkeling gear and barbecue facilities are available for rent. The cottages are a 10-minute taxi ride from Miyako Airport. Cottages for 3 or more guests have a Japanese-style living space with a traditional tatami (woven-straw) floor. All cottages feature a private toilet and indoor shower, and the kitchen is equipped with kitchenware, an electric kettle, a microwave and a fridge. A washing machine and clothes dryer are provided. For cottages with 4 or more guests, half of the bedding is Western-style beds and half is Japanese-style futon bedding on tatami (woven-straw) flooring. Miyakojima City Tropical Plant Garden is a 3-minute walk away, and Miyakojima City Museum is 300 metres from the cottages. Higashi Hennazaki, a nationally designated Place of Scenic Beauty, is 18 km from the Kataaki Cottages, while both Aragusuku Beach and Yoshino Beach are a 20-minute drive. Please note that maid service is not provided, but fresh towels and toiletries are provided daily. A change in linens costs JPY 500 per person, per time. No meals are served, but cottages are equipped for self-catering.
