Hotel Caneva is set in an excellent position in the centre of Venice, between the Rialto Bridge and St. Mark?s Square. Just 5 minutes walking distance from Teatro Rossini and St. Mark?s Basilica, the hotel is within easy reach of discovering all of the attractions of Venice. A key position, neat rooms and excellent rates make Hotel Caneva especially attractive. 17 rooms boast a charming view of typical Venetian canals while a few rooms overlook the historic home of Casanova. All 23 rooms at Hotel Caneva are found on the 1st floor and benefit from the peace and quiet of an internal courtyard.

Caneva hotel, venice

As stated the hotel is just a few minutes walk from the rialto and from the piazza (though it took me a few attempts before being certain of taking the shortest route to the piazza.) clean, friendly and helpful reception. i had a room overlooking a canal where early morning activity was sometimes noisey though not a problem for me. the room would sleep 3. i had use of 'shared bathroom' but that didn't pose any difficulty. i would have welcomed a choice of more than one type of cheese, meat and bread for breakfast. it is a basic hotel but was very adequate for me and would certainly be happy to use it again if alone. if with a partner i might look for accomodation with en suite facilities. (don't take account of my starred responses.)
