Petit palais lido

Very hot in venice, but the air con switches off when you leave the room! staff were very helpful but we had to go to another hotel for the first 2 nights as they had over booked, this seems to be a regular thing.

Wonderful hotel and amazing staff

The hotel was perfect for us. it was very clean and we chose a sea view room - well worth the extra money - which was very large. it was right on the beach, though the beach belonged to the excelsior hotel next door, there was a public beach about 20 metres to the right. the staff were wonderful, so polite helpful and always smiling especially gianluca who was on the reception desk in the mornings. no shower curtain around bath so ocssionally manged to soak the floor - but it dried quickly so not a huge problem. breakfast had variety despite the hotel only having to cater for 30 rooms. 5 mins bus journey to the water taxi stop and main street which has a few bars and restaurants and generally very chilled out.
