Duodo palace is definitely a 4-star establishment in every sense of the word!

There are hundreds of places to stay in venice so finding the right one could be difficult if you've never been there before.

the duodo palace boasts being 4-stars but as we all know hotels always exaggerate by a star or so. but not the duodo. it is definitely 4-star.

location is the best as it sits between one of the side canals and the street-side. it is literally 5 minutes to san marco square. and the walk over to the square you pass by many shops, cafes, and restaurants. in fact, just 50 steps from the hotel are 3 very good restaurants with outdoor seating.

if you do stay here, ask for a room with windows that open up to the canal. gondolas go by periodically throughout the day. have some wine, sit on the window sill, and watch them go by! my 3-yr old loved watching them go by as well.

as far as the staff goes, they were very friendly and recommended some great restaurants bearing in mind that we had a 3-yr old and a 7-mo old. so service was great.

overall, i would stay at this hotel again and would recommend it to everyone else, and will be doing so.

Would stay again!

We spent 3 nights at the duodo palace and were very pleased. the location was close to the san marcos square which was very nice. our room was large for europe and the bathroom was excellent. we had a canel view room which was fun and the canel is not widely travelled so the noise was minimal

breakfast was good and they had a bar at night open. they were willing to get me ice and hot water when requested. very happy and would recommend this hotel.

they also had a computer we could use it would be nice if they added wireless for our laptop.
