Great location but some issues

This was the second time we have stayed at this hotel after an excellent first up experience some three years ago. unfortunately, our latest experience left a little to be desired, notwithstanding the fact the hotel is an excellent location which is in close proximity to the rail & bus station and rooms are of a good size, extremely clean, with beds being of a good quality.

the first issue we encountered was asking the girl on reception for restaurant details, only to find she really had no idea where the restaurant was located and sent us on a wild goose chase. the next morning we discovered that the the hot water had run out by just after 9.00am, so cold showers were on offer. we then went and had what was a very ordinary breakfast (basically just breads and cereals), compounded by the fact that the woman running the restaurant had absolutely no customer service focus, by instantly removing all food the moment the clock reached 10.00am and refusing to offer top up coffee's after that time.
we then checked out and specifically asked the girl on reception to order a maxi taxi as there were four persons, hence a very large amount of luggage. imagine our surprise, when a conventional small taxi arrived and we subsequently discovered the girl had totally disregarded our request.

despite the negatives with our latest stay, would probably give the hotel another chance bearing in mind our excellent experience three years earlier.

Novo experience.

Good location.very clean hotel.reception staff almost mute(except for one young man).we were ignored by the young women.even when giving and taking key each day they never spoke at all.we always said" hello"and "thankyou"and our room number (in very bad italian).on arrival we were given no information about the hotel or trieste.no fresh fruit at breakfast and cheap tasteless juice.rolls fresh,plenty of croissants and coffee.room was good size,bed sheets and bathroom towels changed every day. t.v.reception not good.

Good time

An excellent 3 star hotel in agood location near the station and supermarkets. friendly staff, clean and large room. only problem is no ice in hotel for drinks
