The restored XVI Century Choir now provides the congress and meeting hall, with 60/80 places. Concerts and open air events take place in the Monastry Cloisters. ATTENTION: the official classification of the property is bed and breakfast. The hotel will be closed from 04 November 2019 to 20 December 2019 included for maintenance work.
Il Chiostro del Carmine Holiday Home is located in the historic centre of Siena, only a few hundreds metres from the famous Dome Cathedral and Piazza del Campo square where the famous palio takes place every year.

Il Chiostro del Carmine Residence has been meticulously restored from a XIV century Carmelite Monastry. It is situated a few hundred metres from the Siena Cathedral and from Piazza del Campo.

Great hotel to visit siena & the palio

Good location which was away from craziness of the piazza, yet a short & easy walk. we stayed in siena for 3 nights for the palio & found this hotel's location very good. the triple room was comfortable & spacious. was on second floor with no lift & stairs are wide but old so sloped. they offered to help take the bags up. breakfast is average & could be better. aircon in guest room was cool, but quite noisy, which was a bit annoying. we didn't bother to complain. also aircon system must be connected to breakfast room two stories down as we'd wake to the smell of toast each morning. parking is at the side of the hotel and accessed outside around the corner and costs €15/day, which is handy but expensive. staff were always friendly & helpful before, during our stay & at checkout.

Very nice hotel

We really liked the hotel because it wasn't a typical hotel. it had a very nice continental breakfast. it doesn't have an elevator. however it only has two flights of stairs but you will have to carry luggage up the stairs so be prepared for it. all the people working at the hotel were very helpful and spoke english.
