The village of Casalguidi lies about 1 km from the villa; there is a supermarket and butcher in the village. The city of Pistoia (9 km) is a visit worth as also the other historic cities such as Pisa, Lucca and Siena. The village of Vinci, where Leonardo was born, Collodi, where the fairy tale of Pinocchio took place, San Gimignano and Volterra are also very charming. For sports lovers: there is riding stable and tennis club in about a 5 minutes drive.
