We practice rafting on the River Corno throughout the year in the area of the Sibillini National Park, an area only five kilometers from the town of Norcia and yet the indisputed reign of the wolf and the eagle. Exterior
An encounter with Cortona is an encounter with art, with history and with spirituality. Getting to know this timeless city is a real rediscovery of our past. Cortona offers testimony to its history as well as an enchanting view of the landscape enclosed by Lake Trasimeno and the Appenines. Every year, extremely characteristic historical re-enactments are organized in Cortona, attracting a large number of visitors. Undoubtedly, one of the most important events organized by the Municipality of Cortona is the so-called "Giostra dell'Archidado" (Archidado Joust), held between May and June with re-enactments of medieval historical events, flag flyers, medieval comedies, and crossbow competitions. Another very popular event is the "Palio dei Rioni e delle Frazioni", a horserace involving teams from the town districts and nearby hamlets held in September, commemorating the medieval period with games and tournaments. Finally, the famous "Sagra della bistecca", or Steak Fair, a market fair taking place in August to promote typical agricultural products from Cortona and Arezzo. All the historical re-enactments held in Cortona are linked to the medieval period and take place between June and September.

Our Restaurant provides a stylish and elegant environment as well as a distinguished menu, complemented by noble wines from the surrounding hills, all of which is perfect for truly unforgettable moments. The staff of "Il Melone" will be glad to offer you genuine wines from our lands together with extremely tasty local products. You can chose from among Tuscan starters as well as a wide selection of cheeses complemented by homemade honey and jams. Tuscan cuisine offers a wide range of special dishes and delicacies that will entice the most curious 'gourmants'. Every day of the week we organize theme evenings. Our guests will have the chance to sample different exquisite recipes, for example: * Every Tuesday evening a meat-based menu * Every Friday evening a fish-based menu Before dinner a colorful 'happy hour' is prepared in the open-air area of our Tavern-Wine Bar, offering a selection of exotic cocktails and a wide range of snacks and appetizers, ideal to introduce our guests to a wonderful evening... In the Wine Cellar of Borgo Il Melone our guests can enjoy a wide variety of wines from all the regions of Italy. We focus in particular on the renowned winemaking tradition of Tuscany. Tuscan red wines are at the core of our selection. Among the most appreciated are Chianti Classico, Nobile di Montepulciano, and Brunello di Montalcino. Our selection of white wines includes Vernaccia di San Gimignano, one of the most esteemed white wines of Italy, which is produced exclusively in the Borough of San Gimignano (in the province of Siena).

A place full of magic for a stylish and elegant, as well as extremely comfortable and relaxing, stay, steeped in the uniquely beautiful Tuscan countryside and its harmony and taste. The restoration of the set of buildings has been carried out with the uttermost respect for the original architectural features. The Borgo included a manor surrounded by a group of smaller farmhouses where the products of the land, such as oil, grapes, and wheat were collected and processed. Original building materials have been cleverly restored and reused thus combining the typical atmosphere of a traditional agricultural settlement with state-of-the-art facilities suited to the needs of our times.
