Grand Hotel Minerva is characterized by a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The rooms are accessible either by the large stair case or by elevator. The lobby is medium in size and very modern in concept, it is light and airy with a pleasant mix of rare wood and marble and is very well appointed.
The hotel is traditional in architectural style, and was once a Villa of one of the important political characters of the sixteenth century.
The room doors are decorated with photographs of antique Florentine doors while the common seating areas are furnished with antique pieces. The 102 rooms and suites, are partly facing the piazza and partly the cloisters of the Santa Maria Novella church, all offering different systemizations. The superior and junior suites offer marvellous views of the city and a few of these also offer a ‘relaxing corner’ with Turkish bath and Jacuzzi. For a very memorable stay the Presidential suite offers 120 square metres, with breathtaking ceiling frescos.
The restaurant “I Chiostri” may accommodate up to 180 people with an outdoor patio from April to September, this location is ideal to taste some of the best traditional Tuscan dishes.
