Location
The Langhe & Monferrato Hotel is located among the most beautiful Monferrato hills, in Costigliole d'Asti, near Langhe territory, a land with strong rural traditions. The town, famous for wine productions, is dominated by the impressive shapes of the castle, one of the biggest and better preserved in Asti province. It has its foundations in the primitive stronghold with its marvellous gothic arches. Costigliole D'Asti is only few kilometres from the town called S. Stefano Belbo, Cultural Park and Cesare Pavese birthplace, near Canelli, with its important wineyards, world-wide recognized, for champaigne production. It's also located few minutes from Nizza Monferrato, known for the emergent Barbera wine. Nearby there are many important jewels of the gotic and romanic Piedmot art in terra-cotta and sandstone in Albugnano, for example, or the famous Vezzolano Abbey, built in the place where the Holy Vergin appeared to the Emperor Carlo Magno.
