The Relais Villa Casalta is only 2 km away from Castellina in Chianti, in the beautiful Tuscan countryside characterised by vineyards and olive groves. Its position is ideal to easily reach typical hamlets and famous art cities such as Siena and Florence. How to reach Relais Villa Casalta: By car from North: Highway A1 exit at Firenze Impruneta, take the four-lane highway called “Raccordo” Firenze – Siena, then take the exit at San Donato and continue through Castellina in Chianti following road signs for about 7 km. Continue on “Strada Provinciale 76”, cross the town as far as to reach “Strada Statale 222”, turn left and after about 500 m follow road signs for Relais Villa Casalta. Continue for about 1,5 km on dirt road. From South: Highway A1 exit at Valdichiana, follow road signs for Siena on “Strada Statale 327” and then on four-lane highway called “Raccordo” Siena Bettolle. Follow road signs for Florence on four-lane highway called “Raccordo” Siena - Firenze, exit at Badesse and take the “Strada Statale 119” in the direction of Castellina in Chianti. Continue on “Strada Statale 222”, follow road signs for Relais Villa Casalta and continue for about 1,5 km on dirt road. By train: The nearest railway station is Castellina Scalo, about 15 km far from the relais but it has few connections. The best linked railway stations are Siena or Poggibonsi at about 20 km away. The Relais is available to organize the shuttle service. By plane: The nearest airports are those of Florence “A. Vespucci” and Pisa “G. Galilei”.
