Cala Gonone is a beautiful tourist spot in the gulf of Orosei, the main bathing area of the Barbagia, lying in the middle of Sardinia s east coast. The village is situated at the feet of Monte Codula Manna, an inactive volcano, and is surrounded by wooded lime-mountains. The beach, the small harbor, the many hotels and restaurants, the small handicraft shops, the beautiful landscape, the climate and the many cultural and leisure activities make it an attractive destination for excursions during the whole year. It is also the best point of departure for exploring the Barbegia region via sea or land. An association of coxswains organizes transports for tourists to explore the coast, for example in order to reach the famous beach Cala Luna or the cave Grotte del Bue Marino. The beaches: From Calagonone towards north: Palmasera-Sabba Meica and Cala Cartoe. Towards south: Ziu Martine, Fuili e Zio Santoru. Cala Luna is maybe the most beautiful beach of the mediteranean: caves up to 6m height and a beautiful oleander forest. From Cala Gonone you can easily reach the whole coastal area of the gulf of Orosei. Attico Gonone (7 Pers) This beautiful new attic with sea view lies in a central position of Cala Gonone: just a few steps away from the harbor, the beach and the promenade Palmasera. It offers a big living/dining area with kitchenette and studio couch, 2 double bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with shower. Elegant facilities. A big veranda with tables and chairs and beautiful sea view complete your relaxing possibilities. Also at your disposal: flatscreen TV, washing machine, water tank, extra bed. In just a few walking minutes you reach the beach and the promenade as well as some shops. It s the perfect place to dive into the clear waters of Orosei, discover beautiful beaches as Cala Luna or Cala Goloritze or make excursions or climbing tours in the mountainous interior.
