My wife and i stayed at the sandymount for weekend. location for aviva stadium excellent as it was literally next door. room spacious although no safe in mine. breakfast good. dart(train) station about 200mt. away and 2 stops to dublin centre. less than 10min. walk to lovely village of sandymount and promenade walk along the sea. staff were very pleasant and helpful.
would recommend this hotel and would stay here again.it also has plenty of parking space which is a plus.

I have stayed in this hotel both on my own and with my family on numerous occasions and would highly recomend it for location; price; hospitality and value for money.
although the staff appear to change on a regular basis, i have always found them extremely corteous, friendly and helpful. i would have no hesitation in recomending this hotel. however i would recomend a search of the various websites as the prices charged can vary dramatically.

I was 'upgradede' to an executive room'. it was an ordinary room - with a desk. there was no extra comfort like particularly comfortable pillows [for tired executives], a magazine, bottled water etc.
the breakfast was good

We spent 2 nights at the mount herbert at a friends recommendation and found it was a good choice. excellent locattion with easy dart access and a small lelection of excellent spots for dinner were only a short walk. the neighborhood is quiet and beautiful and walking there is a pleasure. we were able to get breakfast included with our reservation - good as this was 10 or 15 euro for their 2 buffet choices. the room was smallish and we were with our daughter and had quite a bit of luggage as we had been traveling for a week prior to this. however it was fine.

I really enjoyed my stay in mount herbert. it is very central to everything. if you want to go shopping into dublin city the dart train is only about a 3-4 minute walk from mount herbert and is very cheap to travel. if you are going to a concert in the rds or lansdowne road it is quite near also. the food was excellent and the staff very friendly and helpful.

A nice hotel, but a fairly basic room. part of hotel was in a state of extension and renovation. public rooms were good and the restaurant was modern and smart. the free parking was very useful and the hotel was ideally situated for central dublin and car ferries.

Very nice hotel located next to lansdowne road statium and dart. transport is quick (comes every 10-15 min and takes 3min), cheap and easy into temple bar or close to o'connell street.
would definitely reccommend.
a little work to the rooms and you could add another star.
the internet was way too expensive. 3euro for 20 min or 7euro for 50min. taking the mickey there.
for dublin the price we payed was very good. would reccommend staying here rather than temple bar or o'connell street unless you are here on a boozy weekend and want to stay out past 11.20
