Apartment Elpis at Viktoria square is a three-bedroom apartment with access to the rooftop terrace that offers a breathtaking view of all of Athens. Viktoria Square is one of the most vibrant and cultural neighborhoods in central Athens, with a historic essence that seems to have sweetened with time. The building entrance of the apartment is two steps away from the square that houses everything from bakeries for your latte and fresh bread to different kinds of restaurants, bringing together is complete harmony a plethora of cultures. Some of our favourite picks include Matchpoint or Old City Co. for our caffeine lovers and Ouzeri Tou Laki for mouthwatering staple foods. The square itself was renamed to honor the British Queen Victoria after the annexation of the Ionian Islands to Greece in 1864. It is home to one of the most important outdoor sculptures of the 20th century in Athens by the German sculptor Johannes Pfuh, “Theseus Saves Hippodameia”, depicting Theseus rescuing Hippodamia from the Centaur Eurytion. Just minutes away, you'll find the mesmerising National Archeological Museum, the intriguing Hellenic Motor Museum and the grand Pedion to Areos Park with it's very own statue of Athena. Patision and Alexandra Avenues are also a short walk from the apartment and offer great escapes for those with the shopping gene, as well as those who love to find discrete urban hideouts for some cappuccino and a good book.
