Frankfurt for a few days.

The concorde has clearly taken time to fit out the rooms and the quality of the furnishings and decor shows through. the standard room was very small but the major shortcoming was its layout: no electrical outlet by the desk, but two behind the bed and one under the light switch by the door(!). the bathroom was a reasonable size and well fitted out. mood lighting was quirky but not unpleasant.
when we took issue with the size of the room the staff did, to their credit, upgrade us to a suite and this room was excellent except for the tv which, like the one in the standard room, was one of the smallest i've seen for a long time.
we didn't find the bistro (and we weren't told where it was) and so can't comment on that.
location is fine: it's just on the edge of the red-light district, so you don't need to go through it on the way there.
