Great wee hotel - easy to find and very comfortable

This is a hotel that though small is not at all cramped but very comfortable. the power shower was fantastic. the hotel is clean with efficient helpful staff. it is well situated on the left bank and is easy to find. they provide a seriously good breakfast.

Authentic parisien hideaway

very convenient for montparnasse and st germain, and very close to vaneau metro station. very good breakfast arrangements: bed was comfortable. our room was on a corner location and rather cramped for space although well appointed. the manageress claimed all the rooms were equivalent in size, and resisted a request to be moved.
no availability of domestic english channel eg sky news, which was frustrating, although world news does hold some interest.

Disappointing experience

Was expecting an air conditioned room with a lift based on the description. however, the lift only goes up to the 4th floor and there are two floors above the lift, so we had to carry our luggage up two flights of stairs. also, the thermostat in the room had note taped to it (in english) which said that air conditioning was expected to be added to the room sometime in the summer of 2008. the person who handled us at reception when we checked in was rude and brusque but other hotel employees were friendlier. breakfast was nice.

this hotel was recommended to us when the one we requested and with which we are familiar couldn't be confirmed. this substitution was not comparable to the requested hotel in terms of value.
