Prague revisited

Second time visiting this hotel. still friendly and very helpful staff.

when we stayed last year, if you were a guest at this hotel and drank opposite you received your drinks half price. this was not the case this year, infact, their beer was very expensive at 79kc compared to 28-35kc in most other places.

U zlateho stromu is a beautiful hotel and we picked if for my boyfriend's mum 50th birthday. the location and the price seemed reasonable. however, 4 of them arrived a day before us and told us there was a ongoing refurbishment work in the hotel. this was very disappointing to find out on the day when they arrived, especially from the hotel who rates themselves 4 stars. breakfast was conducted in a spare bedroom for one day and then the rest of the weekend in a room, which had drilling noise and dust everywhere. to top it all of the breakfast selection was a medioka for 4 star hotel, all the same and somtimes i had a feeling they used leftovers from the previous day. we all enjoyed prague as a city, but i do believe that work in the hotel should have been disclosed to a guest before booking to avoid disappointement and give guest a fair chance to find the right hotel for them.

We came back to this hotel because we love it. don't be put off by the ads saying it's a music club with dancers downstairs - you won't hear a thing!

Hotel u zlateho stromu

Customer service was brilliant. staff friendly and helpful. excellent location. if you are staying here your drinks are half price (25ck)but you need to show your room ticket. our room was right above the door for the music club, there was some noise, but nothing that you couldn't ignore. the room had a fan if you wanted to close the windows. will definately be going back.
