Chad is a country in Central African that borders with Libya to the north, with Sudan to the east, with Niger to the west, with the Central African Republic to the south, and with Cameroon and Nigeria to the southwest.

The country is divided into different geographic areas: a desert zone in the north, an arid area in the centre (Sahel) and a more fertile zone in the south.
