Sala
The lobby is small and located to the right as you come through the entrance. Staff - as ever in the Lakes - are welcoming and accommodating and always willing to help.
Exterior
A classic Country house built back in 1848, the building has been expanded and carefully restored to create a comfortable, tranquil hotel which retains the charm and character of the original house. Its original occupant was Sir Thomas Paisley, a Royal Navy Admiral who was so entranced by the views over Lake Windermere that he chose this spot to build his retirement home.
Habitaciones
This is small hotel and with this being a former house, all 26 rooms vary in shape somewhat. They are however of good to medium size, traditonally but comfortably furnished with over 50% containing Lake Views. As standard features, all have LCD flat screen digital TV, tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer, radio alarm and telephone and a local Lake District Information pack. There are also a selection of Four Poster lake facing bedrooms - available at a supplement - and a couple of family rooms.
Restaurante
Paisleys restaurant enjoys fantastic panoramic views of the surrounding area, including Lake Windermere. The head chef prides himself on his interesting and imaginative cuisine, mixing the best of English and Continental fayre, using where possible, local produce.
