Sala
The lobby area is as grand as the building itself. A central staircase ascends to the rooms above while to one side is a cosy seating area lit by gold chandeliers and warmed by an open fire place.
Exterior
The building is an impressive and imposing Manor House, totally unique to the main shopping street of Horsens where it is located. It was built in 1744 by Gerhard de Lichtenberg, who was once one of Denmark's richest men as a private residence, but the mansion became an inn as early as 1813.

Restaurante
The hotel is well known for its dining experiences as it offers four restaurants each with its own individual style and appeal. ”Lichtenberg”, ”Palæ” and ”Herreværelset” are located on the ground floor either side of the grand entrance hallway. Each offers a spectacularly ornate interior of stucco ceilings dating back to 1744, panelled walls, and chandeliers, all of which illustrates the hotels rich history. The restaurants serve either classical Danish dishes or internationally inspired food. The fourth restaurant is "Eydes Kælder" which is located beneath the vaulted ceilings of the hotel basement specialises in draught beers and popular dishes at reasonable prices.
