Reached via a few steps from the entrance. The reception desk is to the left, and an atrium style seating area is opposite. This has a very open-air feel to it thanks in part to a fountain which adds to the freshness of the atmosphere.
The facade is in baroque style offering a skilful blend of historic, traditional and modern styles.
Simply furnished and plainly but tastefully decorated. The bathrooms are small, and contain 'Japanese' baths (small baths approximately one metre long with a seat). They are of a good standard.
The main restaurant is quite dark and intimate, and would be excellent for evening meals. The "fraenkische weinstube" is smaller with a rustic atmosphere and fixtures and fittings typical of the area. Generally the hotel has an ideal location and the standard of the rooms has improved since renovation over the last year.
