The Burro Ville (Donkey Ville) is your new Rural Tourism and Nature Tourism in the Algarve. It is located in Portimão - Descampadinho, in the parish of Mexilhoeira Grande, about 15 kms from Portimão and 20 kms from Lagos. The nearest beaches are those of Alvor and Meia Praia. This project was born from the desire of the owners to keep alive the farm, which is already in the family for at least 5 generations. It was once a single property where today is built the Algarve International Racing and became the second largest wheat producer in the region, even overcoming the difficulties of growing cereal also on the slopes of the surrounding hills. The tourist operation is intended to foster this space in the Algarve interior. With the improvement and adjustment for the effect of pre-existing infrastructure, built up 7 houses, six T1 and one T2, which keep the rural architecture, acquiring contemporary features and comfort, according to principles of sustainability, ergonomics and functionality. Note that the unit is available. So everyone can enjoy the surrounding beauty, the peace that we experience here, and also the donkey rides on the property. The prominent people on the farm are our Mirandeses donkeys! At the moment we have 16 donkeys, 3 of them born recently. Thus take pride in contributing to the preservation of this species at risk of extinction. We also have sheep, horse, mare, many birds and and other wild inhabitants. The Donkey Ville also offers space for events such as birthday parties, baptisms, workshops, MICE for small groups, therapies.
