The hotel is situated on the west coast of Calabria, 12 km south of Tropea and only 200 m from the rocky promontory of Capo Vaticano. The property extends over an area of approximately 60.000 sq.m with numerous paths and beautiful gardens of typical Mediterranean greenery, in perfect harmony with the surrounding landscape and right in front of the splendid scenery of the Aeolian Islands, clearly visible from the hotel. Distances: from Lamezia Terme 70 km, from Reggio Calabria 100km. The hotel is right on the sea front, in one of the most beautiful stretches of the Tyrrhenian coast, facing a wonderful beach of sand and shingles, 1km long, reaching as far as the promontory of Capo Vaticano. Beach umbrellas, sun-beds and beach towels are provided free of charge. The hotel, due to be officially opened in May 2008, is characterised by its modern design. There is a Main Building where the majority of the rooms are to be found, together with all the main facilities including the main hall, the reception area, two multifunctional halls, the bar and the main restaurant. The hotel also offers an alternative choice of food and wine in a second beach bar/restaurant close to the lovely swimming pool situated right next to the beach. The rest of the rooms are located in a small separate building, called “La Rotonda”. In another building, linked to the main one, there is a large and well equipped gymnasium. For sporting activities the clients have a choice between two tennis courts, one of which is multipurpose, all in artificial turf and with flood lights. There is also a children’s playground. Shops and other facilities are available in Ricadi (6 km) and San Nicolò di Ricadi (3 km). All 118 rooms, furnished in modern and functional style, are equipped with satellite TV, air conditioning, telephone, minibar, safe deposit box, bathrooms with shower and hair-dryer. Three types are on offer: Classic (up to 4 beds): double bedrooms with the possibility of additional 3rd/4th bed located in the Main Building or in the “La Rotonda”, on the ground floor or on the first floor, all with fully furnished terrace. Superior (up to 4 beds): as per the Classic type but larger and with a sea view. Junior Suite (up to 4 beds): double bedrooms with a corner lounge with a double divan bed, bathroom with bath, situated in the Main Building on the ground or first floor, with fully furnished terrace. The hotel offers half board with buffet breakfast and dinner with waiter service at the main restaurant where there is a children menu for the kids. Full board is also available at a supplement for a stay of at least 7 nights. The beach bar is always available at lunch time for a quick snack or a light lunch (payable locally). Piano bar and evening entertainment. Group lessons of watersports (canoe and windsurfing), tennis and swimming. Acqua gym and aerobics sessions are also available. The hotel will also organise mini tournaments (tennis, 5 a side football, volleyball). Children and teenagers: Mini Club (from 4 to 7 years), Junior Club (from 8 to 11 years) and Young Club (from 12 to 17 years) will have a choice of entertainments and sporting activities tailored to their age.
