Two modern highrise buildings make up this resort. A large pool and expansive sunning area with ocean views is on the palm-fringed, second-story deck in the North Tower. From there, a skybridge spans the main street that runs parallel to the ocean, with an elevator providing access to the 11-mile-long beach. On the South Tower's ground floor, a secluded, smaller pool offers peaceful sunbathing.

Wonderful stay at the westin

We arrived around midnight, and the staff was super friendly and helpful after a long day of travel. i've seen other complaints about the front desk staff, but i have to say they were super- upon check in, any questions we had, and upon check out. the room had been updated recently and the bathroom was nicely done and clean. the actual room was a tad small, but had a huge built in desk and area for the tv/dresser which were nice. the balconies are not true balconies, they are what they call romeo & juliet balconies- you cannot sit on them, but the doors open up like regular sliding doors and the fresh air was great. our air conditioner was a bit loud, but nothing that kept us from sleeping. the beds were amazing!!! slept better than i have at home! great location as well---you can walk in either direction and hit up restaraunts and bars. beach place was only about a 1/2 mile away and was a super fun place in the evening. the pool was nice and you can see the ocean from the pool deck. i would definitely stay here again especially with the great deal from hotels click!

4 days at the sheraton yankee trader ft. lauderdale

Good hotel (not great), fairly large and anonymous hotel in a good location right next to the beach. pool area is crowded but there is a walkway over the road to the beach (which is lovely). the don shula restaurant is best avoided until they train their staff and stop selling reheated buffet breakfasts (if you don't ask, you get the buffet by default). breakfast service wasn't good so we avoided the hotel for lunch and dinner (too many other great places to choose from).

rooms were fine and bed was better than i expected. i would recommend this if you have a choice of similar hotels at similar prices.
