Average hotel only 4* due to gym attached to hotel

Stayed here with my 10yr old son as going to twickenham for a england game.
positives: 2min walk to tube station which is on piccadilly line. ideal for those going into central london or visiting the national history museum. clean modern room not the most spacious tho. great location for heathrow and twickenham. 24 hr asda 3 min walk away ideal for filling up the room fridge. good pool )however children restricted to early morning or afternoon) steam room and sauna.
negatives: everything is chargeable like 30 mins early for check in £10, breakfast upgrade £4 per person to full english from continental (no child reduction), beds in rooms move around on their castors like you are on an ice rink. car park very limited spaces £15 for 24 hrs. lift very small and waiting times can be lengthy. mini bar not stocked.

overall a standard 3* hotel only given its 4* status due to it being built ontop of gold's gym and pool complex. however for £50 for a night (£83 with parking, early check in and full english for 2) on par with other london based hotels.
there are several other hotels around this that may not have the pool but are cheaper. receptionist helpful but not willing to remove early check in fee for 30 mins.
days inn, etap and rosemont other near by choices.
