The medium sized lobby is beautifully decorated in contempary style, with the added touch of period features, retained from the hotels' history.

Exterior

The hotel is built around the facade of four thoughtfully restored Victorian town houses which blend in with the surrounding architecture.

Rooms

The rooms vary in size from small to large. All, however continue the contempary theme seen throughout the hotel and are decorated to an impeccable standard. Bathrooms, some with shower only and in excellent condition with good facilities.

Restaurant

The hotel breakfast room is located in the hotel basement. However, it is extremely bright and well decorated.

Looks good on the outside

Disappointed, considering the price. they also take a credit card 'deposit' when you arrive for £50 for 'incidentals' that you don't get refunded when you leave, but is recorded when you checkout and apparently refunded within 5 to 10 days. why so late?
check-in was so-so. standard room adequate - bed comfortable. shower room cramped and scruffy. the hotel appeared to have been relatively recently decorated, but the shower room hadn't.
breakfast - full english - not impressed - cheap ingredients (eggs ok).
checkout - like check-in.

London weekend trip

An excellent hotel close to all amenities - staff very helpful. when asked for extra blankets and tea bags, they came within minutes. breakfast was a bit basic, only one type of yoghurt on one morning (toffee) very little fruit and coffee and hot water provided in pump flasks - therefore not hot enough and no marmalade. staff very friendly and helpful. don't use lorenzo's (restaurant opposite) - terrrible food!!
