Looks good on the outside

Disappointed, considering the price. they also take a credit card 'deposit' when you arrive for £50 for 'incidentals' that you don't get refunded when you leave, but is recorded when you checkout and apparently refunded within 5 to 10 days. why so late?
check-in was so-so. standard room adequate - bed comfortable. shower room cramped and scruffy. the hotel appeared to have been relatively recently decorated, but the shower room hadn't.
breakfast - full english - not impressed - cheap ingredients (eggs ok).
checkout - like check-in.

London weekend trip

An excellent hotel close to all amenities - staff very helpful. when asked for extra blankets and tea bags, they came within minutes. breakfast was a bit basic, only one type of yoghurt on one morning (toffee) very little fruit and coffee and hot water provided in pump flasks - therefore not hot enough and no marmalade. staff very friendly and helpful. don't use lorenzo's (restaurant opposite) - terrrible food!!
