Weekend break

Booked the hotel as it was in the kings cross area and we needed to be near tube stations, the walk was around 20 mins which was longer than we expected and the area itself wasn't the best, however the hotel was perfectly acceptable and i would stay there again

Fitted the bill

Chose the hotel last minute to attend a training course so location was the key factor. although there were cheasper hotelsi n the area, being a single female traveller, it was important to be in a reliable and safe place to stay in. it would have been cheaper if i had booked earlier. hotelmoffered everything that was needed, i was not on holiday.

Excellent!

Location was great! service was excellent! and the room was clean and quiet! everything we needed was close by or easy to get to. we stayed over new year and actually walked from the embankment back to the hotel after which took about 30 mins. the room had everything we needed and was a very spacious! a blissful stay!

A god mistake!

Booked the wrong holiday inn, so they redirected me to this one and it is far superior to the other holiday inn nearby. everyone was so helpful and friendly which is important to a lone female traveller. the room was clean, comfortable and much larger than expected with a sofa in it as well! the hotel food was suprisingly good and i would definitely stay here again.

Holiday week

Stayed here for 4 nights. double room had 2 double beds in. space was was adequate, bathroom with shower again quite adequate. slight queue for breakfast but nothing out of the ordinary for a busy hotel, we had continental but they did full english as well. nearest tube station kings cross about 10-15 minute walk on the piccadily line took you into all the relevant tourist spots. we pre-purchased an oyster card this covered all train, tube and bus travel all the way to heathrow terminal 5. staff pleasant, local eateries quite nearby if you fancy a change and not expensive. if you watch what time you eat in the centre of london very good deals on

Brilliant holiday inn!

We had a great night's sleep in the ultra comfy beds and lovely clean and modern room. staff were friendly and very helpful with information, directions etc. good breakfast in the bright and well appointed dining room. the fitness suite and swimming pool were a welcome treat after a hard days sightseeing and was very reasonably priced at £3.50. the only slight niggle was that it was a good 20 minutes walk from kings cross station unlike the address implies, but we soon found the 63 and 17 bus nearby to be very handy.

Eurostar stop off

Picked this hotel for an overnight stop before catching eurostar to paris. first impressions were excellent, reception for very clean and service was friendly and efficient. we had a couple of drinks in the very reasonable packenham arms, just round the corner from the hotel followed by a superb meal in the hotel's indian restaurant. a good night's sleep in the well appointed room and we were set us up for the trip top paris.the 15 minutes walk to eurostar may not suit everyone, especially with bags, but i am sure a taxi would not be too expensive. i would certaily use this hotel again, both for eurostar and london breaks, at he price we paid.
