Wedding at hotel

We were guests at a wedding. i have reduced mobility and this hotel had no rooms on ground floor or elevators. our room was the furthest away and with the most stairs i asked for change i was told there were no other rooms available. while struggling up with cases and carriers met by housekeeping staff who asked which room and they immediatley went down and changed my room to a nearer one without as many stairs. brides mother requested a room with disabled facilites for an aunt of 80 and when they arrived, there was no such room. another guest had had a stroke and he too had to manage stairs i think somewhere there should be a disabled stairlift fitted layout of hotel lends itself to the age of the property. if you don't like stairs or doors don't go to this hotel as all i seemed to do all weekend was go up and down stairs and open and shut doors. to reach ballroom from reception you have to go up to bedrooms and down the other side or brave the weather and go outside. [it was snowing}

staff - all staff we dealt with were friendly and helpful.

price - the full price is quite expensive and i would advise shopping around to get a good deal.
